H. Edward Vallely, DDS
From an early age, Dr. H. Edward Vallely developed interests that would prove useful in his study and practice of dentistry: drawing, math, and science. After completing scientific coursework at St. Viator High School in Arlington Heights, he attended The Ohio State University with the goal of applying to dental school as soon as possible.
He realized this achievement and much more: Dr. Vallely was accepted to the prominent Northwestern University Dental School after just three years of undergraduate study. In 1976, he earned his DDS, receiving the prestigious Pierre Fauchard Award for outstanding academic and clinical achievement.
Since that time, he has developed and managed a successful dental practice, incorporating Associates for General Dentistry (AGD) with Dr. Menyhart in 1979. He has been honored with a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, and he has served as a member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society, the American Orthodontic Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Academy of Osseointegration. He even earned an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management.
The greatest satisfaction this high-achiever receives, however, is from the wonderful sense of accomplishment he derives from his profession...and his patients. Seeing a fearful patient gain confidence. Watching a patient blossom with a new smile. Effortlessly relieving discomfort.
A self-described "sculptor of dental restorative materials," Dr. Vallely is also able to fulfill his love of art with every restoration he creates.
Known for being active and passionate in all of his pursuits, Dr. Vallely has a special affinity for athletics. In high school, he lettered in swimming and golf and, even now, spends his leisure time at the pool or on the golf course. He also enjoys boating, sailing, scuba diving, skiing, tennis, biking, hiking, archery, hunting, target shooting, and fishing. He is also an avid reader.
Having either lived or worked in the Northwest suburbs for all of his life (he was born one mile away from the office!), Dr. Vallely is proud to call this area "home." He and his wife, Linda, reside here with their four children, Patrick, Megan, Sean, and Shannon.
Dr. Vallely's Dental Health Tips: "What you do at home for yourself is just as important as what we do for you at the office."
